Steven Bloom

Steven Bloom is the local Baltimore operating partner for PMC Property Group (“PMC”). PMC is a real estate development company that specializes in developing urban properties throughout the East Coast. PMC’s portfolio of properties currently spans key cities in the following locations: Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, South Carolina, and Florida. Mr. Bloom’s development responsibilities for the Baltimore market include: acquisition, design, construction, and management.  Prior to joining PMC, Mr. Bloom was a tax partner at Arthur Andersen, an international accounting and consulting firm. Mr. Bloom’s clients ranged from privately held companies to large public companies. He specialized in comprehensive tax and business advisory services, including: business income tax, corporate tax service, state and local tax, and estates and trusts.

Michael Falcone

Michael Falcone is employed by Hunt Investment Management and is the Chief Executive Officer and President of MMA Capital Management, a position he has held since 2005. Mr. Falcone is responsible for all aspects of the general management of the Company, focusing on strategic planning, risk management, business development, and oversight of the performance of the Company. Prior to his involvement with MMA Capital Management, Mr. Falcone served as Senior Vice President and Partner at The Shelter Group, a Baltimore based real estate development and property management firm where he began his career in 1983. Mr. Falcone is a graduate of Dartmouth College and received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Francis Gallagher

Francis Gallagher was appointed as a director of MMA Capital Management in February of 2012. Mr. Gallagher has extensive experience in corporate finance and investment banking. Mr. Gallagher is currently a Managing Partner at Charlesmead Advisors LLC, where he leads investment banking efforts to focused subsectors within the telecommunications industry, including wireline and wireless services and internet infrastructure. From 2005 to 2011, Mr. Gallagher was a Managing Director at Stifel Nicolaus Weisel, Incorporated, a leading investment bank, where he managed and led the Telecommunications Industry Banking Group. Prior to that, Mr. Gallagher spent eight years in a variety of positions with Legg Mason Wood Walker Incorporated, where he was responsible for investment banking services for a variety of large and small-capitalization telecommunications companies.

James Preston Grant

James Preston Grant was appointed as a director of MMA Capital Management in January of 2013. He is the founder, President and CEO of Grant Capital Management, Inc., where he has specialized in providing tax-exempt financing to city and state governments since the company’s founding in 2000. Prior to that, he held positions in major account sales for IBM Corporation – Public Sector and Federal Data Corporation.

Chris Hunt – Non-Voting Observer

Chris Hunt serves as CEO of Hunt Companies, Inc. and its affiliated companies. The Hunt Companies include a variety of complementary business lines, including investment management, mortgage lending, property management, military housing, construction services, real estate owner and operator, asset developer, broker dealer, and global public infrastructure developer.  Mr. Hunt is responsible for strategic mergers and acquisitions and establishing relationships with development and finance partners.  Mr. Hunt began his career at Hunt in 1993 as a Project Developer for Hunt’s construction division and was later appointed Vice President and Executive Vice President. In 2001 he became a member of the Hunt Companies, Inc. Board of Directors and thereafter became President, COO, and then CEO of Hunt Development Group. In January 2015 Mr. Hunt was named as CEO of Hunt Companies, Inc.  Mr. Hunt graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance.

Lisa Kay

Lisa Kay was appointed as a director of MMA Capital Management in August 2016.  Ms. Kay has extensive experience in accounting policy and operations, investor relations, governance and public company reporting and disclosures.  Ms. Kay is currently an independent consultant and business advisor focusing on accounting and public company matters, with emphasis on the finance and real estate sectors.  Starting in 2007, Ms. Kay served as MMA’s Corporate Controller and subsequently served as our Chief Financial Officer from 2011 to 2015.  Prior to joining MMA, she was a Managing Director at Navigant Consulting and held various positions at Freddie Mac and Arthur Andersen.

Frederick Puddester
Chair of the Compensation Committee

Frederick Puddester was appointed as a director of MMA Capital Management in August, 2011. Mr. Puddester has more than 20 years’ experience in financial management and currently holds the position of Vice President for Finance and Administration for Williams College. Prior to joining Williams College, Mr. Puddester served at Johns Hopkins University, first as Executive Director of Budget and Financial Planning and then as Senior Associate Dean for Finance and Administration at the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences. In addition, Mr. Puddester spent two decades in Maryland state government, including four years as secretary of the Department of Budget and Management.

Dave Bjarnason
Chief Financial Officer

Dave Bjarnason is employed by Hunt Investment Management and is Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of MMA Capital Management, a position he has held since 2015. Mr. Bjarnason joined the Company from Fannie Mae, where he was a finance officer and served in senior management roles in Fannie Mae’s accounting policy, external reporting and financial planning and analysis functions. Prior to joining Fannie Mae, Mr. Bjarnason served in senior finance, consulting and financial statement audit roles with JPMorgan Chase & Co., CapitalSource, Inc., Freddie Mac, Deloitte LLP and KPMG LLP. Mr. Bjarnason is a graduate of the College of William & Mary and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant.

Jeff Muller
Senior Vice President

Jeff Muller is Senior Vice President of MMA Capital Management, a position he has held since 2003, and a Managing Director of IHS since 2010.  His current responsibilities include strategic planning, human resources, information technology and administration and he serves as the Chair of the Company’s Capital Investment Committee.  He previously served as Treasurer and was responsible for credit and risk management for the company’s affordable housing, renewable energy and sustainable land business lines.  Before joining MMA Capital Management in 2001, Mr. Muller worked for The World Bank Group, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, and was a Peace Corps Volunteer. Mr. Muller is a graduate of Colgate University and holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University and an M.A. from Johns Hopkins University.

Gary Mentesana
Executive Vice President

Gary Mentesana is Executive Vice President of MMA Capital Management, a position he has held since 2003. He is the head of our US operations and is responsible for the day-to-day capital activities of the Company. Mr. Mentesana previously served as head of the Company’s Affordable Housing Group, where he was responsible for the affordable tax-exempt and taxable lending and equity businesses, and as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Mentesana’s tenure with MMA Capital Management began in 1988 with the Company’s predecessor, the SCA Tax-Exempt Fund Limited Partnership. Prior to joining MMA Capital Management, he worked for Coopers and Lybrand and was a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Mentesana is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island.
